We have been in existence for over four years now and the school is growing rapidly. Under the section “ABOUT US” describes all of the information about the school and should answer many of the questions that you may have.

CURRENT NEWS:
  • The 2008 schedule has been expanded and offers new Project Courses including building: Blanket Chest, Night Stand, Jewelry Box, ShakerTable, Making Modern Furniture, and other projects are to be added. We also will be having courses on Finishing Techniques, Wood Turning, Marquetry, Veneering and Shopmade Jigs and Templates. All courses to help students better utilize their power tools. These courses address the table saw, jointer, planer, band saw, drill press and router.
  • Our new barn has been completed and is fully air conditioned and heated with spacious room and twelve foot ceilings. The class room is completely furnished with woodworking equipment, eight foot Sojberg benches, dust collection and includes two SawStop tablesaws for maximum safety.
  • The school this June will once again host the combined meetings of several woodworker’s and woodturner’s guilds called TURNING/WOODWORKING DAY ATDOGWOOD and features many turning and woodworking experts on the school campus. Check out the details under the section CLASSES. This event is open to all guild members and guests. The event is free. Come join us as our guest!

HOW ABOUT GIVING A GIFT CERTIFICATE TO A RELATIVE OR FRIEND FOR THAT SPECIAL OCCASION. The Institute will prepare gift certificates and mail them to designated special folks. The amount can be any amount and be charged to your credit card. What a great idea for that hard-to-find gift.
